What is it about the neck region that makes the skin considerably darker than the rest of the body? Especially on large people?

Nah see, I wasn't LOOKIN' for no "large black man" LMAO!!! I was lookin' for something else and my security settings were ON, lol. I was looking for something totally different and I saw his picture and stopped and did a double take, clicked it and when I was about to save it, it read "large black man".

The darkness on the neck is called "acanthosis nigricans"... it is a sign of insulin resistance and high insulin levels. This also causes obesiy.
High insulin levels make skin on the neck darker. High insulin levels also make you really fat.
Thin people won't have it as often because being thin generally means you don't have high insulin levels.
